Software and model notices.

Arc Forge products. Arc Forge products may include, link to, or interoperate with third-party software, models, package repositories, operating-system services, and hosted providers.

Dictate. Dictate is local-first desktop dictation software. Some optional speech, transcription, and diarization features use third-party open-source components or model files downloaded to your device.

Provider terms. Hosted transcription providers, app stores, GitHub, Hugging Face, model publishers, and package registries apply their own terms, privacy policies, access rules, and billing rules.

No endorsement. Third-party project names are listed for attribution and transparency. Their maintainers do not endorse Arc Forge or Dictate unless separately stated.

Local speech components.

WhisperX. Optional local meeting transcription and diarization work may use WhisperX, licensed under the BSD 2-Clause License. Source and license: github.com/m-bain/whisperX.

faster-whisper. Local transcription work may use faster-whisper, licensed under the MIT License. Source and license: github.com/SYSTRAN/faster-whisper.

pyannote.audio. Optional local speaker diarization work may use pyannote.audio, licensed under the MIT License. Source and license: github.com/pyannote/pyannote-audio.

pyannote speaker-diarization-community-1. Optional local diarization may use the pyannote speaker-diarization-community-1 model, licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International. Model page: huggingface.co/pyannote/speaker-diarization-community-1.

Attribution. When the pyannote Community-1 model is used, attribution is: pyannote speaker-diarization-community-1 by pyannote.audio, licensed under CC BY 4.0.

Downloads and gated models.

Model downloads. Dictate may download local model files only when you install, enable, or use a feature that requires them. Model files can be large and may remain cached on your device until removed.

Hugging Face access. Some model repositories are gated by the publisher. If you choose to use those models, you may need a Hugging Face account, an access token, and acceptance of the model publisher's access conditions.

User tokens. If Dictate asks for a Hugging Face token, the token is used to access the selected model repository. Keep tokens private and remove them before sharing logs, screenshots, support bundles, or config files.

Updates. Third-party software, model files, licenses, access conditions, and hosting locations may change. Arc Forge may update this notice as packaging choices change.

Licenses and policies.

Creative Commons BY 4.0. The CC BY 4.0 license summary is available at creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0.

Hugging Face. Hugging Face model pages can include repository-specific cards, license metadata, and access conditions. Review the selected model page before enabling gated local models.

Microsoft Store. Microsoft Store distribution has separate purchase, privacy, certification, and listing requirements. Store-specific disclosures are handled through the Microsoft Store listing and in-app purchase flow where applicable.
